Playlist for the Fuzz Factory with Brett Callero – 7/22/10

After a week off, the Fuzz Factory was back full force.

This week the special feature* was Jack White is Everywhere.  Why?  Because as the leader of three great bands, the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather, he really is everywhere.  Basically, anything that Jack White is involved with is gold. Seriously, he earns more respect from me every year. He has a legacy of recorded music and live performances that anyone would envy, and he just turned 35 years old!  He is the most prolific guitarist of the last 15 years and shows no signs of slowing down.  His talent (as both musician and songwriter) and relentless work ethic are an inspiration to me.  Need I say more?

As always check out the Fuzz Factory with Brett Callero every Thursday night from 8-10pm (EST), or sometimes later.

Here is the playlist.

Playlist for the Fuzz Factory with Brett Callero – 7/8/10

This week I had a last minute brainstorm.  It’s been really, really hot outside.  Like 99º heat here in Atlanta and even hotter in other places around the country.  Therefore, I decided to make the Fuzz factory this week all about the heat!

This week the special feature* was all about the sun, the sunlight, the heat and those hot uncomfortable places we tend to avoid.  Please note this concept is both figurative and literal, because as we all know, there are many meanings to the word HOT!

As always check out the Fuzz Factory with Brett Callero every Thursday night from 8-10pm (EST), or sometimes later.

Please note the Fuzz factory will not air next Thursday, 7/15/10.  I will be out of town.

Take a listen on Jónsi’s website, and of course keep on listening to SCAD Atlanta Radio!

Playlist for the Fuzz Factory with Brett Callero – 7/1/10

The cornerstone of the Fuzz Factory is undoubtedly the electric guitar.  In particular, loud fuzzed out guitar played through a Marshall stack of amps.  That mission statement was taken to its fullest extent on this weeks program.  So I pretended we had the Marshall stack in the studio with the volume turned up to 11 and kept it locked in that way for three hours straight.

Thrown in for good measure were some fuzzed out sounds from the past, the origins of fuzzed out rock and roll.  Therefore it comes as no surprise – this weeks special feature* was Fuzz Rock.

Tune into the Fuzz Factory every Thursday night from 8-10pm (EST).
