Local House DJ & Producer Damon Fonooni A.K.A Habersham will be playing and discussing his latest releases as well as his upcoming event UN/IT at the Sound Table on March 3rd. A special guest appearance will also be made by fellow DJ and friend Tocayo during the show.

Artist Bio:

2011 proved a successful time for Habersham. With his focus returning to the studio, the year’s releases have already received praise and plays from Troy Pierce, featuring Habersham’s remix of Black Snow in his Resident Advisor July Top Ten Chart, Magda [Items and Things], Audio Injection [Truncate, Droid], Paco Osuna [Mindshake], Alexi Delano [Plus 8, Drumcode] to name a few. With new singles and EPs slated for 2012, the coming year promises to be the brightest yet for the artist.

For over a decade Habersham’s tour schedule has included performances in major cities across North America and stops at renowned festivals such as San Francisco’s Love Parade, the Detroit Electronic Music Festival [DEMF], Miami’s Winter Music Conference, and South By South West [SXSW] in Austin, Texas. Globally from Australia to Canada, Mexico to Central and South America, Holland to Hungary, Turkey to Romania, Damon Fonooni’s ability to hypnotize and devastate the world’s highest profile clubs has left many hot, sweaty messes in his wake.

The twenty-nine year old showed no signs of slowing down in 2010. Headlining events and festivals with the world’s most respected talents in Techno, House, Dubstep, and Electronica, including Telefon Tel Aviv, Kompakt’s Michael Mayer, Cocoon’s Minilogue, Pig&Dan, Maetrik aka Maceo Plex, Boris Brejcha, Soma’s Funk D’Void, Drumcode’s Tony Rohr, Ill.Gates, Headhunter and Phil K, only strengthened a reputation for self-reinvention through his edgy, subliminal grooves and signature noise.

As a composer, producer and audio engineer Fonooni’s extensive discography of over 60 original releases and remixes has received accolades from clubbers and critics worldwide, garnering unprecedented reviews from media heavyweights BPM, DJ Mag, IDJ, Mixmag, Remix, Urb, 365Mag as well as winning the coveted Best Electronic Act from Atlanta’s premier arts, culture and entertainment periodical The Creative Loafing. His works have been featured regularly on BBC Radio One, KissFM Worldwide, Australia’s Triple J, and Radio Tilos in Hungary and licensed to over fifteen compilations including EQ’s highly respected Balance series and both the Renaissance and Global Underground libraries. Yet when asked to define Habersham’s output, his listeners’ attempts are like distinguishing realities from dreams: possibilities tangible yet endless. The experiences cerebral yet surreal, the conceptual.
